To ensure the originality of submitted and published manuscripts, all submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin, a web-based similarity detection software. As a general guideline, the journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, quotations, and bibliographic sections.
The plagiarism screening process is conducted at least twice: during the initial submission and during subsequent submissions after revision, including revisions based on reviewers’ comments.
Manuscripts that meet the journal’s originality standards may proceed to the next stage of the editorial process, including peer review or publication. Manuscripts that exceed the similarity threshold may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected based on editorial judgment.
In addition, the journal monitors the use of AI-assisted writing tools. As an indicative guideline, the AI-generated content similarity should not exceed 10%. The responsible use of AI tools is permitted provided that authors ensure originality, transparency, and academic integrity.
To further prevent plagiarism and unethical publication practices, the editorial team may conduct supplementary checks using Google Scholar and other relevant tools to ensure that the manuscript is not the result of plagiarism and has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal (double submission).
